Brian Connolly – CEO
Brian has a degree in business from the University of Arizona. He has a strong 15 year background in land development, specializing in design, engineering, and entitlements. Through his experience in development Brian built an extensive knowledge of all aspects of the landscape world, specifically landscape install and new construction. He utilized this knowledge to develop the foundation of SDL and grow the business into what it is today. Brian is ALCA SLM certified and a Certified Arborist. Brian oversees all SDL business including construction, maintenance, and custom residential.
David Corley – CFO
Dave received a BS in Finance from Arizona State University and has a Master’s degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in accounting. He is a seasoned financial leader with diverse experience in both large public and small private companies, including extensive experience in production home building, land development, and various other real estate investment activities. In addition, Mr. Corley serves on the Advisory Board of RepublicBankAZ, a local business bank based in Phoenix, Arizona and holds an Arizona Real Estate Sales license.
Martin Romero – VP, Construction
Martin has an extensive history of landscape experience, starting out in the business as a construction foreman and diligently working his way up into management. He has held many construction, maintenance, and sales management positions over the past 20 years and served as superintendent of a large master-planned community for 5 years. Martin has spear-headed many well-known landscape development projects in the valley including City North, Anthem, Sun City Grand, Power Ranch, and DC Ranch. Martin has many certifications in the industry including: ALCA SLM, ACLP, Maxicom Irrigation, Tucor Irrigation, and he is Low-Voltage Lighting certified. Martin is the head of the construction division for SDL.
Ed Macias – Division President
Ed grew up in the tiny, sea-side town of Carpinteria, California. He attended Santa Barbara City College where he enjoyed the sunny weather and beautiful women. When he finally decided to get serious about school, he moved to San Diego and graduated from San Diego State University with degrees in Botany and Anthropology.
Life took Ed back to Santa Barbara where he ran his own small landscape business while he and Debbie raised their young family. Ed bought a small nursery in Santa Barbara just before a major drought hit the area, so he packed up his family and moved to Phoenix. Ed been in the landscape business as a sales person, branch manager, and then Regional Manager.
Ed’s involvement in ALCA has unleashed his political side as he hobnobs with politicians in Washington DC on behalf of E-Verify, immigration issues, and other topics related to the landscape industry. Ed’s positive thinking, innovative ideas, and motivating personality are an asset not only to the landscape industry but to ALCA as well as he leads the association as the 2009 and 2010 ALCA Board President.
Jillian Brady – Business Development Manager
Jillian brings over 10 years of sales and marketing experience in the HOA Management Industry, the Insurance Industry, as well as the Commercial Construction Industry. She has been an active member of the Arizona Association of Community Managers as well as Community Association Institute. She has also served on the AACM Events Committee and has volunteered at multiple AACM events. Jillian is a valuable asset to the SDL team with her positivity, efficiency, resourcefulness, charisma and dedicated work ethic.
